As part of their field training program, third-year student trainees from the Department of Social Work at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University\u2014under the supervision of Ms. Muna Al-Reyashi\u2014conducted several awareness activities focusing on personal hygiene at Arwa and Al-Osaimi schools. The initiative serves as a practical application of the knowledge and skills the trainees acquired during their academic studies.
\nThe awareness sessions included delivering key messages and guidance to female students on the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, its role in promoting healthy behaviors and preventing diseases, the significance of personal grooming, and keeping the school environment clean and healthy.
\nThe activities aimed to raise awareness about personal hygiene, instill values of responsibility and cooperation, encourage students to adopt proper health practices, and foster positive participation in maintaining a clean and safe school environment.
\nTo enhance home-school communication, the trainees participated in a mothers’ council meeting held at Al-Osaimi School. They delivered an awareness presentation to the mothers, addressing the importance of continuous monitoring of their daughters, attending to their educational, social, and behavioral development, and strengthening the family’s role in guiding and supporting them.
\nThe presentation also emphasized the critical need for ongoing cooperation and communication between families and the school as essential partners in supporting students, reinforcing positive behaviors, and creating an optimal educational environment.
\nThese activities are integral to the Social Work Department\u2019s field training program, representing a vital practical component in preparing and qualifying trainees for their professional roles. The program enables them to apply academic knowledge and skills to address social and educational issues within academic institutions while expanding social work’s contribution to the school community.
\nThe successful execution of these activities highlights the Department of Social Work’s commitment to advancing the practical aspect of field training, enhancing trainees’ capabilities to design and implement awareness programs, and applying their professional skills to serve the community while promoting health and educational awareness within the school environment.<\/h3>\n
