Today, Saturday Rabii-Awal 4th<\/sup>, 1446H, September 7th<\/sup>, 2024, the candidate researcher\/ Ruqaia Ahmed Abas Sharafaldeen<\/strong> obtained the Master degree in Computer Science<\/strong> with an Excellent<\/strong> average of 95%, Major: Computer Science<\/strong> from Faculty of Computer and Information Technology<\/strong>, Sanaa University, for her Master thesis entitled: An Improvement Mitosis Detection in Breast Cancer Histopathology Images by Using Yolov5.<\/em> <\/strong>The discussing committee was formed of: Professor Dr. Mossa GHURAB, Principle Supervisor and Committee Examiner, Professor Dr. Fuad Hasan Mohammed ABDEL-RAZAQ, External Examiner (University of Damar) and Committee Head, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdallah Saleh AL-SHALABY, Internal Examiner (Sanaa university). The thesis aims at improving the YOLOv5 model\u2019s resolution for revealing the division cells of histopathology images belonging to breast cancer patients.<\/h5>\n
The study comes out with some results, of which there exists a significant resolution display for the model YOLO v5 at 96% comparing to 92% for the Faster R-CNN. The study compared other models such as: Li et al.<\/em>, 2018, Dodballapur et al.<\/em>2019, Saha et al.<\/em>, 2018, Mahmood et al.<\/em>, 2020, Sohail, Khan, Nisar et al.<\/em>, 2021, as comparison shows that YOLO v5 is more competent in performance and time, as well as in terms of computing resources that allows using it effectively at clinical practices.<\/h5>\n
Attendees of the discussion session were a number of academics, researchers, interested students of the major, the researcher\u2019s colleagues and some of family members.<\/h5>\n
