First: The applicant for admission to the PhD Program in Arabic Language and Literature must fulfill the following requirements:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Master\u2019s degree in English Language from a recognized university with a minimum average grade of \u201cgood\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Master\u2019s degree in English Language from any recognized university with an average grade of \u201cVery Good\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Compliance with the decisions of the Higher Education Council regarding the foreign language requirement.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Adherence to the Graduate Studies Regulations regarding the admission prerequisites for the PhD program.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Achievement of a minimum score of 80% in the written entrance exam.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Successful completion of the personal interview with a minimum score of 80%.<\/strong><\/li>
  • A completion proof document for a Master\u2019s degree.<\/strong><\/li>
  • Commitment to full-time dedication to studies for the entire duration of the program.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

    Second: The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in English Language (minor specialization: Applied Linguistics) is awarded upon completion of the following requirements:<\/strong><\/p>

    • 1- Completion of a thesis within a minimum period of two years.<\/strong><\/li>
    • 2- Preparation and publication of two research papers.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>
