\nUnder the patronage of Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammad Abass, the University Rector, the Faculty of Education inaugurated a comprehensive workshop aimed at developing its postgraduate programs, starting with \u201cThe First Phase: Developing the Master\u2019s Degree Programs\u201d.<\/strong>
\nAt the opening, the Vice Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ali Sharaf Al-Din, emphasized the importance of updating the postgraduate programs\u2019 specification to meet the rapidly evolving educational requirements, within the University’s policy and faith-based identity and in line with the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS). He confirmed that the teaching staff is the source of the University’s strength and underscored the institution’s commitment to elevating the quality of higher education and its graduates to meet the labor market\u2019s needs.<\/strong>
\nThe Dean of the Faculty of Education at Sana’a University, Prof. Saad Al-Alawi, stated that the workshop discusses the mechanism for updating and developing the postgraduate programs at the college in accordance with the national and international academic accreditation standards. He highlighted the importance of academic program specification to define the Graduate Attributes, Intended Learning Outcomes, and asserted the need for establishing a framework for teaching and evaluation.<\/strong>
\nThe Dean of the Development and Quality Assurance Center at the University, Prof. Hoda Al-Emad, viewed the workshop as a significant step forward in modernizing graduate programs in accordance with NARS. She also highlighted the workshop’s role in cultivating highly qualified educators and elevating students’ academic, skill-based, and intellectual capabilities.<\/strong>
\nFollowing the opening session, participants, comprising experts from the Faculty of Education, were divided into working groups to discuss program frameworks, survey similar programs, and define the program tracks. They also revised the formulation of the program vision, mission and objectives in light of the national and faith-based identity. They also work on revising the course titles as well as updating the program structure and study plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n
