About College<\/h3>

Faculty of Education, Humanities, and Applied Sciences\u2014Khawlan<\/p>\n<\/div><\/span><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In line with the Yemeni government\u2019s commitment to expanding access to higher education, Sana\u2019a University has taken the initiative to establish branch faculties in several governorates. This expansion is driven by the growing number of students seeking higher education, with the aim of relieving the annual strain on the university\u2019s faculties in Sana\u2019a and providing higher education opportunities to a wider range of Yemeni citizens. In accordance with this vision, the Faculty of Education, Arts, and Sciences\u2014Khawlan was established, incorporating three distinct faculties (Education, Arts, and Sciences) to serve as the nucleus of a multidisciplinary university and complement Sana\u2019a University by offering education at the same academic level in accordance with quality specifications and international education standards.<\/p>

Establishment:<\/strong><\/p>

The Faculty of Education, Arts, and Sciences\u2014Khawlan was founded in the academic year 1997\u20131998 as one of the branch faculties affiliated with Sana\u2019a University. This establishment was based on the decision of Sana\u2019a University Council No. 421 in its session held on August 6, 1997. The decision outlined the justifications for establishing the Faculty of Education, Arts, and Sciences in Khawlan, emphasizing its role in serving the public interest.<\/p>

Stages of Development:<\/strong><\/p>

In accordance with the establishment decision, the name of the faculty included three faculties, namely: the Faculty of Education, Arts, and Sciences. It started with the following departments:<\/p>

  • Department of Arabic Language and Literature (specializations: Education and Arts)<\/li>
  • Department of English Language and Literature (specializations: Education and Arts)<\/li>
  • Department of Mathematics (specialization: Education)<\/li>
  • Department of Physics (specialization: Education)<\/li>
  • Department of Chemistry (specialization: Education)<\/li>
  • Department of Educational Sciences<\/li><\/ul>

    Two years after its establishment, the following departments were added:<\/p>

    • Department of History (specializations: Education and Arts)<\/li>
    • Department of the Holy Quran and Sciences (specialization: Education)<\/li><\/ul>

      In the 2005-2006 academic year, the\u00a0Department of Computer Science<\/strong>\u00a0was established within the Faculty of Sciences.<\/p>

      • \u00a0<\/li><\/ul>

        In 2019, the faculty name was changed from \u201cFaculty of Education, Arts, and Sciences\u2014Khawlan\u201d to \u201cFaculty of Education, Humanities, and Applied Sciences\u2014Khawlan\u201d by virtue of University Rector\u2019s Decision No. 404 of 2019.<\/p>

        In the 2021-2022 academic year, the following departments were established:<\/p>

        • Department of Computer Teacher, (Faculty of Education)<\/li>
        • Department of Life Sciences, (Faculty of Education)<\/li><\/ul>

          In summary, the faculty now includes the following departments:<\/p>

                Hence, the Faculty of Education, Humanities, and Applied Sciences\u2014Khawlan aspires to become a prominent and esteemed institution in higher education and scientific research within the areas of education, humanities, and applied sciences. Its primary aim is to establish itself as a hub of innovation and community engagement, holding a prestigious standing among other institutions of higher education. This will be realized through the development of educational programs founded on robust scientific principles, strict adherence to international standards of educational quality, intellectual and professional excellence, and the effective utilization of modern technologies. By doing so, the faculty seeks to fulfill its mission and address societal needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
