Researcher Hasna Abdullah Mohammed Hassan has earned a Master’s degree with honors, specializing in Studies in International Development, from the Inclusive Development Research Center at Sana’a University for her thesis entitled: “The Impact of Enhancing Administrative Skills of Development Program Staff and its Reflection on Institutional Excellence”.<\/p>\n

The viva took place on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The viva committee consisted of:<\/p>\n

– Professor Afaf Ahmed Al-Haimi, Internal Examiner and Head of the Committee.<\/p>\n

– Professor Saleh Mohammed Humaid, Supervisor, and Member.<\/p>\n

– Assistant Professor Nabil Mohammed Al-Olofi, External Examiner and Member.<\/p>\n

The study aimed to determine the impact of enhancing the administrative skills of development program staff and its reflection on institutional excellence \u2013 an applied study on civil society organizations.<\/p>\n

The thesis revealed several important findings, including:<\/p>\n

* the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation between enhancing the administrative skills of program managers and their staff and its reflection on institutional excellence (leadership, reach, sustainability) in civil society organizations.<\/p>\n

* Additionally, there is a statistically significant impact of management skills in its dimensions (participatory planning, delegation, transparency) in achieving institutional excellence in civil society organizations.<\/p>\n

* Furthermore, there is a statistically significant impact of leadership skills in its dimensions (team building, communication, negotiation) in achieving institutional excellence in civil society organizations.<\/p>\n

* Finally, there is a statistically significant impact of effectiveness skills in its combined dimensions (results-based management, achievement, flexibility) in achieving institutional excellence in civil society organizations.<\/p>\n

In her thesis, the researcher suggested several recommendations, most notably: the continued attention from civil society organizations to enhancing the skills of program managers and their staff, given that employees have become the true capital today, as they are the active element in the success of organizations and are considered a fundamental source of institutional excellence in light of the enormous technological development and the continuous challenges and changes in the business environment. Also, the continued attention to the practice of participatory planning by organizations and the promotion of this practice using modern scientific methods in participatory planning to ensure the improvement of the organization’s performance level and the achievement of institutional excellence.<\/p>\n

The viva defence was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, and interested individuals, as well as a number of the researcher’s colleagues and family members.<\/p>\n
