Mr. Hussein Abubakr Mohammed Abubakr \u200e<\/strong>was awarded a PhD<\/strong> degree in International Development <\/strong>for his dissertation titled: The Impact of Management Information Systems on Improving Institutional Performance in Civil Society Organizations \u2013 Republic of Yemen\u200e<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to the Inclusive Development Research Center \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The dissertation defense was held on Saturday, March 7, 2026\u200e.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n

The dissertation aimed to:<\/p>\n

  • Analyze the impact of Management Information Systems (MIS) on improving \u200einstitutional performance in civil society organizations\u200e\u200e.\u200e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • The organizations under study demonstrated a strong interest in improving \u200einstitutional performance across its various dimensions, with a greater focus on \u200ethe customer dimension. \u200e<\/li>\n
    • There is notable attention to the adoption of management information systems, \u200eparticularly in terms of hardware and equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:\u200e<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Enhancing efforts to improve institutional performance, particularly in the financial \u200e \u200e<\/li>\n
      • Increasing attention to the development of human resources within the framework of \u200emanagement information systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and specialists, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
