Word of the director
The Republic of Yemen is currently undergoing a significant shift in its development approach, which places a strong emphasis on effectiveness, efficiency, accelerated development, and improved standards for monitoring and implementing development programs. This approach is clearly reflected in the National Vision for Building the Modern Yemeni State 2030, which greatly influences the planning of development institutions in Yemen. Higher education institutions, in particular, are now tasked with the national responsibility of aligning their plans with this developmental approach outlined in the National Vision. The objective is to enhance the outcomes of higher education and elevate them to a global level, with the aim of having five Yemeni universities ranked among the best in the Arab world.
This vision has been translated into the strategic plan of Sana’a University for the period 2022–2026, which has guided the strategic direction of the university’s 28 research centers. The university’s vision and strategic plan have provided a roadmap to address the challenges associated with education that hinder meeting the needs and requirements of development.
The PSSC is embarking on a new chapter of continuous development and modernization. It aims to respond rapidly to environmental changes through a strategic direction. In line with the university’s strategic plan, the PSSC has prepared its vision, mission, values, and strategic aims for the future.
The PSSC’s strategic direction is driven by the following aims:
Contributing to the realization of the national vision for building a modern Yemeni state, particularly in the realm of higher education.
Contributing to addressing the current challenges faced by the university.
Collaborating in achieving the university’s strategic goals.
Fulfilling the aspirations of students seeking to pursue postgraduate studies.
