Establishment

The Political and Strategic Studies Center (PSSC) was established by the University Rector’s Decision No. 12 in 2008. However, the activities of the PSSC did not officially commence until December 2011.

Location:

PSSC is located in the Centers Complex Building, on the second floor, south of the Teaching Staff Housing Complex in the New Campus of the University.

The PSSC contributes to addressing the economic, social, and environmental issues of society by actively fulfilling its role in alignment with the university’s mission and its three goals: teaching, research, and community service. This can be achieved through the continuous engagement of the PSSC’s teaching staff with all aspects of societal dynamics at various levels. By doing so, the PSSC will actively participate in discussing relevant societal issues, providing valuable insights and solutions through diverse research methods, and disseminating scientific expertise to the different segments of society through training and other means.
Moreover, the PSSC will remain updated on the latest developments in its specialized field and contribute additional insights that its researchers identify as having the potential to enrich their area of expertise. Furthermore, the PSSC is expected to play a significant role in supporting the transformation of Sana’a University into an exemplary productive university model.
