We aspire for the diploma program to be a fundamental reference in the Middle East in the field of diplomacy and international relations, contributing to the preparation of distinguished professionals capable of addressing contemporary challenges and actively participating in decision-making. We aim to be an interactive educational platform that supports the development of critical thinking and fosters a spirit of collaboration among participants.

Mission

The Diploma Program for Non-Specialists in Diplomacy and International Relations at the Center for Political and Strategic Studies at Sana’a University aims to provide comprehensive and in-depth education that enables individuals to understand the foundations and principles governing international relations and diplomacy. We strive to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage with global issues in a professional and effective manner.

Admission requirements: Advanced Diploma and Diploma for Non-Specialists

The University Council, in its eighth meeting of the academic year 1447 AH (2025/2026 CE), held on 12/8/1447 AH (31/1/2026 CE), approved the recommendations of the committee appointed by the Council, as recorded in the minutes of its seventh meeting held on 10/7/1447 AH (30/12/2025 CE). This committee was tasked with studying the issue of the Level Improvement Diploma and the Diploma for Non-Specialized Master’s students wishing to enroll in programs outside their field of specialization, taking into account remedial courses and developing a mechanism to regulate the educational process in accordance with the postgraduate studies regulations. The committee reached the following conclusions:

First: Students with a “Pass” grade and in the same specialization will be subject to the postgraduate studies regulations of Yemeni universities regarding the Level Improvement Diploma.

Second: Students with non-specialized grades and a grade of Good or higher are subject to the relevant University Council resolutions – specifically, University Council Resolution No. (10) issued on December 12, 2022, and the University Council Resolution in the minutes of its second meeting for the academic year 2019-2020, dated November 11, 2019.

Third: For students with a Pass grade who are also non-specialized, the committee proposed that they enroll in the Non-Specialized Diploma program under the following conditions:

  1. The student must complete twelve courses.

  2. The student must achieve a minimum grade of Very Good in this diploma program.

  3. The student is eligible to enroll in the aforementioned Non-Specialized Diploma program at the college or center of their choice.

  4. The student must enroll in the aforementioned Non-Specialized Diploma program at the college or center where they will pursue their Master’s degree, for one full year prior to enrolling in the Master’s preparatory program.
