e\u00a0in\u00a0Yemen,\u00a0the\u00a0role\u00a0of\u00a0such\u00a0policies\u00a0in\u00a0weakening\u00a0the\u00a0state,\u00a0and\u00a0appropriate\u00a0means\u00a0of\u00a0confronting\u00a0hegemony\u00a0and\u00a0mitigating\u00a0its\u00a0effects.<\/h4>\n<h4>The\u00a0study\u00a0found\u00a0that\u00a0U.S.\u00a0efforts\u00a0to\u00a0expand\u00a0its\u00a0influence\u00a0and\u00a0political\u00a0impact\u00a0worldwide\u00a0benefited\u00a0from\u00a0its\u00a0economic,\u00a0military,\u00a0and\u00a0political\u00a0capabilities,\u00a0as\u00a0well\u00a0as\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0outcomes\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0First\u00a0and\u00a0Second\u00a0World\u00a0Wars,\u00a0the\u00a0collapse\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Soviet\u00a0Union,\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0emergence\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0unipolar\u00a0international\u00a0order.\u00a0These\u00a0developments\u00a0enabled\u00a0the\u00a0United\u00a0States\u00a0to\u00a0expand\u00a0its\u00a0influence\u00a0in\u00a0various\u00a0countries,\u00a0control\u00a0energy\u00a0resources,\u00a0and\u00a0strengthen\u00a0its\u00a0economic\u00a0and\u00a0military\u00a0superiority.<\/h4>\n<h4>The\u00a0study\u00a0concluded\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0United\u00a0States\u00a0employed\u00a0a\u00a0range\u00a0of\u00a0mechanisms\u00a0to\u00a0influence\u00a0the\u00a0policies\u00a0of\u00a0governments\u00a0seeking\u00a0to\u00a0deviate\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0course\u00a0it\u00a0sought\u00a0to\u00a0impose,\u00a0including\u00a0political\u00a0and\u00a0economic\u00a0pressure,\u00a0economic\u00a0warfare,\u00a0support\u00a0for\u00a0certain\u00a0political\u00a0transformations,\u00a0indirect\u00a0interventions,\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0erosion\u00a0and\u00a0internal\u00a0weakening\u00a0of\u00a0states,\u00a0ultimately\u00a0extending\u00a0to\u00a0direct\u00a0and\u00a0indirect\u00a0military\u00a0mechanisms,\u00a0including\u00a0military\u00a0intervention,\u00a0proxy\u00a0wars,\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0formation\u00a0of\u00a0military\u00a0alliances.<\/h4>\n<h4>The\u00a0study\u00a0recommended\u00a0strengthening\u00a0Arab\u00a0unity,\u00a0rebuilding\u00a0institutions\u00a0of\u00a0joint\u00a0Arab\u00a0action\u00a0based\u00a0on\u00a0sovereignty-related\u00a0priorities,\u00a0involving\u00a0civil\u00a0society\u00a0in\u00a0sovereign\u00a0decision-making,\u00a0developing\u00a0strategic\u00a0plans\u00a0free\u00a0from\u00a0external\u00a0interference,\u00a0and\u00a0establishing\u00a0an\u00a0Arab\u00a0Observatory\u00a0for\u00a0monitoring\u00a0and\u00a0documenting\u00a0external\u00a0interventions.<\/h4>\n<h4>It\u00a0also\u00a0recommended\u00a0seeking\u00a0to\u00a0develop\u00a0comprehensive\u00a0national\u00a0power\u00a0to\u00a0enhance\u00a0Arab\u00a0countries\u2019\u00a0capacity\u00a0to\u00a0confront\u00a0various\u00a0forms\u00a0of\u00a0pressure;\u00a0activating\u00a0the\u00a0role\u00a0of\u00a0Arab\u00a0parliaments\u00a0in\u00a0overseeing\u00a0international\u00a0agreements\u00a0concluded\u00a0with\u00a0foreign\u00a0states\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0manner\u00a0that\u00a0safeguards\u00a0sovereignty\u00a0and\u00a0independence;\u00a0reviewing\u00a0security\u00a0and\u00a0military\u00a0agreements\u00a0to\u00a0ensure\u00a0national\u00a0interests;\u00a0and\u00a0leveraging\u00a0the\u00a0geostrategic\u00a0position\u00a0of\u00a0Arab\u00a0countries\u00a0to\u00a0strengthen\u00a0their\u00a0negotiating\u00a0positions.<\/h4>\n<h4>The\u00a0defense\u00a0session\u00a0was\u00a0attended\u00a0by\u00a0a\u00a0number\u00a0of\u00a0academics,\u00a0researchers,\u00a0students,\u00a0and\u00a0interested\u00a0participants,\u00a0as\u00a0well\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0researcher\u2019s\u00a0colleagues\u00a0and\u00a0family\u00a0members.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img
