PhD Degree Awarded to Ms. Intisar Mansour Ahmed in Education Foundations

Ms. Intisar Mansour Ahmed Al-Mahattouri was awarded a PhD degree in Education Foundations for her dissertation titled: Education in the Quranic Project of the Martyr Leader Sayyid Hussein Badr Al-Deen Al-Houthi, which was submitted to the Department of Foundations of Education, Faculty of Education – Sana’a University. The dissertation defense was held on Monday, February 16, 2026.
The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The dissertation aimed to:
- Investigate education, its sources, and its methods within the Qur’anic project.
- Examine faith-based and moral education and their foundations.
- Explore some of the teacher’s ethics and the factors contributing to the success of education in the Qur’anic project of the Martyr Leader Sayyid Hussein Badr Al-Deen Al-Houthi.
The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:
- There is a positive influence of the personality of the Martyr Leader Hussein Badr Al-Deen Al-Houthi on his students, family, and society.
- His educational approach fosters faith-based brotherhood.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
- Giving greater attention to teaching the Holy Qur’an at all educational levels.
- Families in Islamic society should recognize the dangers facing their children and promptly return to fulfilling their proper educational role.
The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and specialists, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
