Master’s Degree Awarded to Ms. Samar Hamed Al-Haisami in Business Administration

Ms. Samar Hamed Mohammed Ahmed Al-Haisami was awarded a Master’s degree in Business Administration for her thesis titled: The Impact of Business Intelligence on Decision-Making: A Field Study on Civil Society Organizations Operating in the Capital Secretariat – Sana’a, Republic of Yemen, which was submitted to the Faculty of Commerce and Economics– Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The thesis aimed to identify the impact of business intelligence across its dimensions of data collection and analysis, business performance management, and online analytical processing, on decision-making in civil society organizations operating in the Capital Secretariat–Sana’a.
The study yielded a number of key findings summarized as follows:
- There is a statistically significant impact of business intelligence and its dimensions on decision-making.
- There are no statistically significant differences in the participants’ responses regarding business intelligence and decision-making attributable to demographic or organizational variables.
Based on the findings, the researcher recommended that civil society organizations pay greater attention to the use of business intelligence systems, as they represent a strategic tool for growth, development, and forecasting future trends.
The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and interested participants, colleagues and the researcher’s family members.
