The study primarily aimed to design a story-based counseling program to develop social responsibility among high school female students in Hodeida Governorate.
The study yielded a number of key findings summarized as follows:
- The story‑based counseling program was effective at a significance level of 0.05 or less in developing social responsibility among students in the experimental group, based on the comparison between pre- and post-test measurements in favor of the post-test results.
- The program’s effectiveness was further confirmed through the comparison of post‑test scores between the experimental and control groups, with higher scores observed for the experimental group
- Statistically significant gains were also observed in ego resilience among students who participated in the program.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
- Adopting counseling programs in universities and schools aimed at developing students’ social responsibility, given their role in enhancing psychological adjustment and support.
