Master’s Degree Awarded to Ms. Ishraq Abdullah Ahmed in Information Technology

Ms. Ishraq Abdullah Ahmed Sharaf Al-Deen was awarded a Master’s Degree in Information Technology for her thesis titled: A Framework for Improving Automated Examinations in Yemeni Schools, which was submitted to the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computer and Information Technology – Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed to examine the variables affecting the performance of the examination system implemented by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in the Republic of Yemen.
The study measured and analyzed most of the hypothesized variables and demonstrated that they positively influence the performance of the automated examination system currently applied by the Ministry.
In light of this finding, the researcher recommended:
- Expanding the sample size to include a larger population.
- Repeating the evaluation periodically to ensure continuous improvement.
- Examining the technical aspects in greater depth.
- Enhancing question and answer design in alignment with clearly defined educational objectives.
- Developing all system components associated with the supporting variables of examination automation.
The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
