PhD Degree Awarded to Ms. Suad Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Othman in Information Technology

Ms. Suad Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Othman was awarded a PhD degree in Information Technology for her dissertation titled: A Novel Intelligent Distributed Model for Intrusion Detection and Prevention in Cloud Computing, which was submitted to the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology – Sana’a University. The dissertation defense was held on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed to propose a new intelligent model for the detection and prevention of cyberattacks in cloud computing environments.
The study findings showed that the proposed model attained a detection accuracy of up to 99%, demonstrating the effectiveness and reliability of such a proposed intelligent distributed model.
In the light of the findings, the researcher recommended adopting intelligent systems for attack detection, thereby contributing to enhanced data security and institutional protection in cloud computing infrastructures.
The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and specialists, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
