The MA defense was held on Sunday, Sha’ban 20, 1447 Hijri, corresponding to February 8, 2026.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

| 3 | Assoc. Prof. Abdulilah Hussein Al-Kebsi | External Examiner | Member |
The study aimed to analyze the methodology adopted by the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in building the State of Al-Madinah by:
- Examining the theoretical foundations upon which this historical model was based;
- Analyzing the practical measures that contributed to the establishment of an integrated political and institutional entity within its historical context.
The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:
- The research presented a comparative analytical reading of the historical roots of the concept of the state in human heritage, highlighting the contributions of the early Arab-Islamic experience in this field.
- The features of the State of Al-Madinah evolved gradually, with their early foundations emerging during the Meccan period before reaching completion in Al-Madinah.
- The study discussed the concept of Ihsan (excellence and benevolence) as a central value in the social and political construction of the emerging state.
- It analyzed the concept of Hakimiyyah (sovereignty) within the framework of the constitutional document of Al-Madinah (the Charter of Al-Madinah), addressing the relationship between the Qur’anic text and the Prophetic Sunnah in societal organization.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
- Benefiting from early Islamic political heritage to enrich contemporary discussions on state-building and governance.
- Highlighting the shared foundations among Muslim societies in ways that support modern frameworks of political cooperation and integration.
- Proposing an integrative leadership model inspired by the Prophetic biography as a theoretical framework worthy of further study within political thought
At the end of the MA thesis defense, the Viva-voce Committee recommended that the thesis be printed and published at the university’s expense and exchanged with other local and regional Arab universities.
The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
