Dr. Saleh Muhammad Huomid is a professor of Mass Communication in the Department of Radio and Television at the Faculty of Media, Sana’a. He received his primary education in the capital, Sana’a, and obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Media at the University of Sana’a in 1997. He then continued his postgraduate studies in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria (Master’s + Doctorate) at the University of Algiers from 2006 to 2011, earning honors with a recommendation for publication for both his Master’s and Doctorate degrees. He works as a faculty member in the Department of Radio and Television at the Faculty of Media at the University of Sana’a and currently holds the position of Deputy Dean of the Comprehensive Development Research Center. He has held several academic positions at private universities, served as the President of the European International Academy, and established and led media departments in multiple universities.

An expert in describing academic programs for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees, he is an international trainer with the International Labour Organization on media and gender issues. He was selected as an expert and quality evaluator with the International Association of Universities. He has supervised more than 24 Master’s theses and 9 Doctoral dissertations and served as a discussant and chair for over 10 theses and dissertations both inside and outside Yemen.

In 2018, he worked as a visiting professor and founder of the Master’s program in Media at Hadhramout University. He has participated in more than 13 scientific conferences both within Yemen and internationally, publishing over 27 research papers in local, Arab, and international journals. He has participated in more than 23 academic workshops inside and outside Yemen and has served as a scientific reviewer for over 33 research papers for academic promotions in various scientific journals locally and regionally.

He was a former athlete at the Al-Wahda Club in Sana’a and has been the President of the Yemeni Sports Journalists Association since 2018.
