The MA thesis defense was held on <strong>Muharram 8, 1447<\/strong> Hijri, corresponding to <strong>July 3, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Main Supervisor:<\/strong> Prof. Yahya Abdullah Ahmed Al-Hadi<\/li>\n<li><strong>Internal Examiner and Chair:<\/strong> Assoc. Prof. Taghreed Ahmed Mohammed Al-Kebsi<\/li>\n<li><strong>External Examiner:<\/strong> Assoc. Prof. Nashwan Hameed Saleh Al-Tayri<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The thesis aimed to<\/strong> provide preliminary data on the average bone density in the maxilla and mandible of fully dentate Yemeni adults using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key findings of the thesis<\/strong> include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bone density was generally higher in the mandible compared to the maxilla, particularly in the anterior regions between the central and lateral incisors.<\/li>\n<li>Females showed similar bone density values to males in most areas, with statistically significant differences noted in only a few specific regions.<\/li>\n<li>The highest bone density values were recorded in the 31-45 age group, while lower values were observed in older age groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The thesis concluded with several recommendations for future studies, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The need for longitudinal studies to track changes in bone density over time and better understand the impact of aging on jaw bone density.<\/li>\n<li>Future research should explore the influence of systemic factors such as osteoporosis, nutritional status, and hormonal changes on bone density in both the maxilla and mandible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The thesis was examined<\/strong> and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. The thesis defense was well-attended by a distinguished audience of academics, researchers, students, and interested individuals, alongside the researcher&#8217;s colleagues and family
