{"id":19219,"date":"2025-09-03T12:44:23","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T09:44:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/su.edu.ye\/voga\/?p=19219"},"modified":"2025-09-03T12:47:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T09:47:16","slug":"masters-degree-awarded-to-mr-mohammed-hussein-essa-in-islamic-studies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/su.edu.ye\/voga\/en\/19219\/","title":{"rendered":"Master\u2019s Degree Awarded to Mr. Mohammed Hussein Essa in Islamic Studies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mr. Mohammed Hussein Abdullah Issa <\/strong>was awarded a Master&#8217;s degree with a grade of Excellent, for his thesis titled \u201c<strong><em>A Compilation of the Holy Quran&#8217;s Exegesis as Interpreted by the Pure Imams &#8211; From the Beginning of Surah Al-Mumtahanah to the End of Surah Al-Muddaththir<\/em><\/strong><strong> &#8211; Compiled by Abu Musa Al-Abbas bin Mansour bin Musa Al-Khattabi: A Study and Investigation<\/strong>,<em>\u201d <\/em>which was submitted to the Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Arts and Humanities &#8211; Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on <strong>Thursday, August 21, 2025<\/strong>, corresponding to<strong> Safar 27, 1447 <\/strong>Hijri.<\/p>\n<p>The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Main Supervisor: <strong> Prof. Bushra Ali Al-Emad<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>External Examiner and Chair: <strong> Ahmed Ebraheem Yahia Al-Ahdal<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Internal Examiner: <strong> Eman Abdullah Hussein Hajar <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>thesis<\/strong> concluded with several key <strong>findings<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The book, &#8220;<em>A Compilation of the Holy Quran&#8217;s Exegesis as Interpreted by the Pure Imams<\/em>,&#8221; is considered one of the most important and earliest works of exegesis.<\/li>\n<li>Imam Al-Hadi is a prominent figure in Islamic thought and a unique intellectual school.<\/li>\n<li>Imam Al-Hadi&#8217;s methodology for Tafsir (exegesis) relies on explaining the Qur&#8217;an by the Qur&#8217;an and referencing the Arabic language.<\/li>\n<li>This specific commentary revealed important intellectual, doctrinal, educational, and social insights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on these findings, the <strong>thesis<\/strong> <strong>recommended<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greater attention to the study of heritage in general, especially the legacy of the Imams of Guidance from the Ahl al-Bayt.<\/li>\n<li>Expanding the study of Imam Al-Hadi&#8217;s interpretive methodology and comparing it with other commentaries.<\/li>\n<li>Completing the investigation of the book and working toward its publication.<\/li>\n<li>Digitizing manuscripts of Yemeni scholars from libraries worldwide to ensure the preservation of this scholarly heritage and make it accessible to researchers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The thesis<\/strong> was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for <strong>acceptance<\/strong> and <strong>approval<\/strong>. The defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, and interested individuals, in addition to the candidate\u2019s colleagues and family members.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
