Ms. Shaima\u2019a Abdullah Abdulmajeed Salam <\/strong>was awarded a PhD degree in Education Foundations <\/strong>for her dissertation titled: A Proposed Model for the Transformation of Yemeni Universities into Smart Universities in Light of Certain Societal Variables<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to the Department of Education Foundations, Faculty of Education \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The dissertation defense was held on Sunday, August 31, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n

The dissertation aimed to propose a model for the transformation of Yemeni universities into smart universities in light of selected societal variables.<\/p>\n

The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:<\/p>\n

  • The current level of availability of the requirements for the transformation of Yemeni universities into smart universities was assessed as low.<\/li>\n
  • The importance of these requirements was rated as very high.<\/li>\n
  • The results indicated that the societal variables influencing the transformation of Yemeni universities into smart universities were assessed as very high.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The researcher recommended adopting the proposed model for the transformation of Yemeni universities into smart universities in light of societal variables.<\/p>\n

    The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, specialists, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
