Ms.<\/strong> Manal Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ashmouri<\/strong> was awarded a Master’s degree with an average of (Excellent<\/strong>) and a grade of (95%)<\/strong> for her thesis titled “The Role of Communication Media in Shaping the Public Perception of General Authority of Zakat in Yemen<\/strong>,” which was submitted to Department of Radio and Television, Faculty of Mass Communication – Sana\u2019a University. The defense was held on Saturday, October 4, 2025<\/strong>, corresponding to Rabi’ al-Akhir 10, 1447 <\/strong>Hijri.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The thesis aimed to<\/strong> determine the role of communication media in shaping the public perception of General Authority of Zakat in Yemen.<\/p>\n

The thesis <\/strong>reached the following main findings<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The overall public perception of General Authority of Zakat was positive<\/strong> in Yemen.<\/li>\n
  • The public perception of General Authority of Zakat <\/strong>employees was primarily neutral, yet also associated with a degree of neglect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The thesis <\/strong>concluded with several important recommendations<\/strong>, most notably:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • The General Authority of Zakat should prioritize engagement with social media platforms.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • The implementation of training courses for General Authority of Zakat staff on how to effectively deal with those paying Zakat and the beneficiaries<\/strong> of the authority’s services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The thesis was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. The defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, and interested individuals, in addition to the candidate\u2019s colleagues and family members.<\/p>\n
