Ms. Naseem Ali Ahmed Qaed Al-Quaafi <\/strong>was awarded a PhD degree in English Language Curriculum and Teaching Methods <\/strong>for her dissertation titled: The Effect of the Flipped Classroom Strategy on Secondary School Students\u2019 Motivation, Attitudes, and Achievement in the English Course in Yemen<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to Faculty of Education \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The dissertation defense was held on Thursday, October 30, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n

The dissertation aimed primarily to investigate the effect of applying the flipped classroom strategy<\/em> on the motivation, attitudes, and academic achievement of tenth-grade female students in English at Al-Zahraa Secondary School for Girls in Hajjah Governorate.<\/p>\n

The findings of the study revealed that:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The use of the flipped classroom strategy had a significant positive effect on the tenth-grade students\u2019 English achievement levels.<\/li>\n
  • The students demonstrated higher motivation to learn English language skills and developed positive attitudes toward the use of the flipped classroom strategy<\/em> in learning English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Implementing the flipped classroom strategy more broadly to enhance secondary students\u2019 motivation, attitudes, and achievement in English.<\/li>\n
    • Conducting further research to explore the effectiveness of the flipped classroom strategy<\/em> in developing other English language skills and in different subject areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, specialists, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
