Mr. Mohammed Dhaifallah Hassan Faris <\/strong>was awarded a Master\u2019s Degree in Physical Education <\/strong>with for his thesis titled: Sport as a Means to Promote Optimal Health from the Perspective of Community Members in the Capital Secretariat of Sana\u2019a<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Physical Education \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on Monday, November 10, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The study aimed to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Identify the role of sport in promoting physical, social, psychological, and cognitive health among members of the community in the Capital Secretariat (Sana\u2019a).<\/li>\n
  • Examine the role of sport in enhancing the physical fitness of members of the armed and security forces, from the perspective of community members in the Capital Secretariat (Sana\u2019a).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The main findings of the study revealed that:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • There were statistically significant differences in the role of sport in promoting optimal health among community members, attributed to the variables of practice and age.<\/li>\n
    • No significant differences were found regarding gender or educational level, except in the dimension of perceptions of sport in promoting optimal health among members of the armed and security forces, where statistically significant differences were found in favor of males.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      In light of these findings, the researcher emphasized the importance of transforming this health culture into greater public awareness and regular engagement in sports, with a focus on practicing sport for health purposes based on sound scientific and medical principles.<\/p>\n

      The defense session was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
