Mr. Saddam Nasser Mosaad Al-Ward <\/strong>was awarded a Master\u2019s Degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development <\/strong>for his thesis titled: Level of<\/em><\/strong> Knowledge and Skills among Coffee Farmers about the Most Important Aspects Related to Crop Production in Dhamar Governorate<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Faculty of Agriculture \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The study aimed to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Measure the knowledge and skill levels of coffee farmers regarding the most important aspects of coffee production.<\/li>\n
  • Identify the problems, constraints, and proposed solutions for improving productivity from the farmers\u2019 perspective.<\/li>\n
  • Examine the correlation between farmers\u2019 knowledge and skills and the independent variables included in the study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The main findings of the study revealed that:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • 7% of respondents had a moderate level of knowledge, while 31.8% had a high<\/em> level, and 16.6% had a low<\/em> level<\/li>\n
    • 3% of respondents had high<\/em> skill levels, 43.7% had moderate<\/em> skill levels, and 6% had low<\/em> skill levels.<\/li>\n
    • A statistically significant positive correlation was found between farmers\u2019 knowledge of key aspects of crop production and the independent variables examined.<\/li>\n
    • A statistically significant positive correlation was also found between farmers\u2019 skills and the independent variables studied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Taking appropriate measures and interventions to identify optimal solutions to the problems faced by coffee farmers in the study area.<\/li>\n
      • Planning and implementing suitable extension and training programs for farmers to expand their knowledge and skills regarding proper agricultural, production, and marketing practices, which are essential for improving productivity and achieving higher financial returns that support the national economy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The defense session was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
