\u00a0<\/strong>Ms. Zamzam Issa Abdullah Jallah <\/strong>was awarded a PhD degree in Educational Psychology <\/strong>for her dissertation titled: The Effectiveness of a Story-Based Counseling Program in Developing Social Responsibility and Its Impact on Improving Ego Resilience Among High School Female Students in Hodeida Governorate<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to the Department of Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Education \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The dissertation defense was held on Thursday, November 27, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n

The study primarily aimed to design a story-based counseling program to develop social responsibility among high school female students in Hodeida Governorate.<\/p>\n

The study yielded a number of key findings summarized as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The story\u2011based counseling program was effective at a significance level of 0.05 or less in developing social responsibility among students in the experimental group, based on the comparison between pre- and post-test measurements in favor of the post-test results.<\/li>\n
  • The program\u2019s effectiveness was further confirmed through the comparison of post\u2011test scores between the experimental and control groups, with higher scores observed for the experimental group<\/li>\n
  • Statistically significant gains were also observed in ego resilience among students who participated in the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Adopting counseling programs in universities and schools aimed at developing students\u2019 social responsibility, given their role in enhancing psychological adjustment and support.<\/li>\n
    • Integrating Islamic values and social skills into university and high school curricula to strengthen ego resilience and promote respect for diversity.<\/li>\n
    • Establishing cultural and social clubs for girls through the Ministry of Youth and Sports to foster social responsibility in ways that respect community values and traditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The dissertation defense was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
