Mr. Ameen Ahmed Qaed Al-Asarah \u200e<\/strong>was awarded a Master\u2019s Degree in Child Psychology <\/strong>with an average of excellent and a grade of (95<\/strong>) for his thesis titled: The Role of Kindergarten Teachers in Strengthening the Cultural Identity of Preschool Children in the Capital Secretariat \u2013 Sana\u2019a\u200e<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>which was submitted to the Department of Educational Psychology, Faculty of Education \u200e\u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, January 15, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The study aimed to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Identify the role of kindergarten teachers in enhancing the cultural identity of \u200epreschool children in the Capital Secretariat \u2013 Sana\u2019a.\u200e<\/li>\n
  • Examine differences in this role according to the variables of kindergarten type, age, \u200eacademic qualification, and years of experience.\u200e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Kindergarten teachers play a significant role in enhancing the cultural identity of \u200epreschool children in the Capital Secretariat \u2013 Sana\u2019a.\u200e<\/li>\n
    • Encouraging children to use the Arabic language and local dialects strengthens their \u200ecultural belonging.\u200e<\/li>\n
    • Integrating arts such as drawing, music, and traditional dance into the curriculum \u200econtributes to reinforcing cultural identity.\u200e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Based on these findings, the researcher recommended the following:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Providing training programs for kindergarten teachers on how to integrate cultural \u200eidentity into curricula and teaching methods.\u200e<\/li>\n
      • Updating curricula to include more topics related to Yemeni culture and heritage.\u200e<\/li>\n
      • Strengthening the role of families and the community in supporting cultural activities \u200ein kindergartens.\u200e<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
