Mr. Sadiq Ahmed Jaber Al-Rasha \u200e<\/strong>was awarded a Master\u2019s Degree in Political Science<\/strong>\u200e with an average of excellent and a grade of (94%) for his thesis titled: The Role of Yemeni Tribe in Confronting External Aggression against Yemen (2015\u20132022)<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>which was submitted to the Faculty of Commerce and Economics\u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on Saturday, May 23, 2026\u200e\u200e.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The thesis aimed to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Examine the pivotal role of Yemeni tribes in confronting external aggression against Yemen during the period 2015\u20132022.<\/li>\n
  • Investigate the tribes\u2019 contributions to supporting and reinforcing frontline efforts.<\/li>\n
  • Analyze the mechanisms through which tribes participated in the defense of Yemen and sustained their resilience throughout the conflict.<\/li>\n
  • Explore the impact of these developments on the future of Yemeni tribal structures, as well as the challenges and difficulties they face.<\/li>\n
  • Provide a deeper understanding of the role played by Yemeni tribes as an integral component of Yemen\u2019s social fabric and national identity during one of the most significant challenges confronting the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Yemeni tribes constituted a fundamental pillar of national resilience in confronting external aggression.<\/li>\n
    • Strengthening the role of tribes within the framework of a unified Yemeni identity contributes significantly to safeguarding the country from external interference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:\u200e<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Conducting further in-depth research on the role of Yemeni tribes during periods of conflict and national crises.<\/li>\n
      • Providing the necessary support to enable tribes to continue contributing to the protection of the nation.<\/li>\n
      • Strengthening cooperation and partnership between tribal institutions and the state through the promotion of a shared national and cultural identity.<\/li>\n
      • Protecting the tribal system from external influences and interventions that may undermine its role in maintaining social stability and national unity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
