Ms. Ghaidaa Ismail Mutahar Salah <\/strong>was awarded a PhD<\/strong> degree in Philosophy of Sport Sciences <\/strong>for her dissertation titled: Administrative Governance and Its Relationship to the Level of Administrative Performance at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Republic of Yemen<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to the Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Physical Education \u2013Sana\u2019a University. The dissertation defense was held on Thursday, June 25, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n

The study aimed to identify the reality of administrative governance and the level of administrative performance in the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Republic of Yemen, examine the relationship between them, and explore differences according to the variables of gender, experience, position, and educational level.<\/p>\n

The study revealed shortcomings in the availability of qualified sports professionals within the Ministry and found that the laws, regulations, and bylaws governing the Ministry’s work have not kept pace with recent developments and the needs of Yemeni sports. The findings also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to gender, while statistically significant differences were found among certain educational qualification groups in favor of respondents holding master’s degrees.<\/p>\n

In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the recruitment and empowerment of qualified administrative and academic personnel and their integration into the Ministry of Youth and Sports and its affiliated bodies, in a manner that contributes to improving administrative performance and strengthening the principles of governance.<\/p>\n

The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and specialists, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
