The MA defense was held on <strong>Wednesday, August 19, 2026\u200e\u200e.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prof. Bushra Nasser Ahmed Al-Musawba \u2013 Hajjah University \u2013 External Examiner and Committee Chair.<\/li>\n<li>Fazea Khaled Al-Azzi Al-Maslami \u2013 Sana\u2019a University \u2013 Principal Supervisor and Committee Member.<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Ali Ahmed Saleh Saleh \u2013 Sana\u2019a University \u2013 Internal Examiner and Committee Member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This quasi-experimental study aimed to investigate the effect of using the Survey\u2013Question\u2013Read\u2013Recite\u2013Review (SQ3R) strategy on developing reading skills among students of the English Department, Faculty of Education, Sana\u2019a University, and to examine students\u2019 attitudes toward using the strategy in learning reading skills.<\/p>\n<p>The findings demonstrated a statistically significant positive effect of the SQ3R strategy on developing reading skills among students in the experimental group compared with those in the control group. The study also revealed strongly positive attitudes among students toward using the strategy in learning reading skills.<\/p>\n<p>The researcher recommended integrating the SQ3R strategy into the teaching of reading skills in English language curricula at schools and universities, strengthening students\u2019 reading comprehension abilities, and promoting active learning practices in English language instruction.<\/p>\n<p>The thesis defense was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, and interested participants as well as the researcher&#8217;s colleagues and family
