Scientific Seminar on “Saline Water Desalination” Presented by Expert Maria Kennedy

The Water and Environment Center at Sana’a University organized a scientific seminar on “Saline Water Desalination” yesterday, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, presented by Professor Maria Kennedy, an expert in water treatment technologies at IHE Delft Institute, via Zoom.
In her presentation, expert Candy reviewed the production capacities of seawater and saline water desalination plants globally.
She addressed the most prominent challenges related to energy consumption and the environmental impacts associated with these projects.
Professor Candy focused on discussing the latest desalination technologies that maintain energy efficiency and sustainability, and proposed strategies to overcome the challenges of energy consumption and mitigate environmental impacts in seawater desalination projects.
