Approval of a PhD Research Proposal by Seham Shuja’a Al-deen

A public scientific seminar was convened at the Water and Environment Center’s Integrated Water Resources Management Department on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 (Ramadan 25, 1446 AH), to evaluate Seham Fadl Shuja’a Al-Deen’s PhD research proposal.
The proposal, “Development of Affordable Nanotechnology-based Water Treatment Process for Urban Rainwater Harvesting Systems in Sana’a, Yemen,” was presented by the researcher.
During the seminar, researcher Seham detailed her research plan, encompassing the problem definition, primary and secondary objectives, methodology, materials, and the sequential steps for execution.
A committee, including Prof. Leu Gutierrez (Ghent University), Prof. Yasmine Jamil (Sana’a University), and supervisors Assoc. Prof. Omar Ba-Muqaa, Dr. Fares Thabet Al-Sharifi, Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Hadid, and Prof. Basem Al-Kherbash, provided critical feedback and recommendations to enhance the research’s implementation and ensure the achievement of its objectives.
The proposal was approved, subject to the researcher incorporating the committee’s recommended revisions.
