WEC meets WSLC

A meeting was held at the Water and Environment Center at Sana’a University on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024. The meeting included Eng. Mohammed Ahmed Mudaas, the General Manager of Water and Sanitation Local Corporation (WSLC) – Sana’a, and Dr. Taha Al-Washli, the Director of Water and Environment Center (WEC).

The discussions focused on the work of the Water Users Associations and the mechanism for coordination between the corporation, community committees, and the Water Users Associations. They also discussed the importance of involving the civil sector in taking their responsibility for water conservation. The sustainability of the services provided by the corporation to the residents of the capital Sana’a was also emphasized, as it is a shared responsibility among the community.

Additionally, the importance of holding seminars, workshops, and training programs for community committees in partnership with the WEC at Sana’a University was highlighted. The meeting was also attended by Engineer Ali Zabara, the Deputy General Manager for Financial and Administrative Affairs, along with several officials from both the WEC and WSLC.
