The Water and Environment Center (WEC) at Sana\u2019a University concluded the training courses for the capacity building program for service institutions in the water, roads, and solid waste management sectors. This is the largest capacity-building program in Yemen. The event was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif Mohammed Hassan, Sana\u2019a University Rector, Dr. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abass, and several government officials, international partners, and program trainers.<\/p>\n

The program aimed to enhance the skills and capabilities of employees in service institutions by training 3,000 trainees from 70 government entities through 149 training courses. These courses covered many important practical topics such as solar energy, reducing water loss, improving operational efficiency and maintenance, cost recovery, proposal writing, occupational safety and health, strategic planning, human resources management, procurement, road safety, and medical waste management, among other vital subjects.<\/p>\n

The training adopted a problem-solving-oriented approach and the production of a performance improvement plan for each training program, in addition to promoting the horizontal learning approach.<\/p>\n

The training courses significantly contributed to enhancing the performance of institutions and improving the quality of services provided to citizens in the water, roads, and sanitation sectors\/cleaning fun\ufffcds.<\/p>\n

The closing ceremony was concluded with an honoring session for the Water and Environment Center and MetaMeta Company. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to trainers and the program team. Sana\u2019a University received an honorary shield in appreciation of its role in strengthening the capacities of service institutions.<\/p>\n
