Who We Are? Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center
The Center for Higher Education Development was established by the University Rector’s Resolution No. (400) of 2006; then, the Center’s name was amended to the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center by the University Rector’s Resolution No. (844) of 2016. This reflects the concern of the University leadership about the development process as the Center is one of the most important scientific and research centers specialized in the preparation for achieving quality which would lead to obtaining academic accreditation. The Center includes academic, administrative, and research personnel. It consists of suitable training rooms and a library with various scientific and training references (in both soft and hard copies) and documents of previous events, including documents related to the amendment of the Center’s old name into the new officially approved name (Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center). This also reflects the University leadership’s direction towards focusing on the development process, as the Center is considered one of the most important scientific and research centers specialized in the preparation for achieving quality and subsequently obtaining academic accreditation.

Planning, Monitoring, and Performance Evaluation Unit

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Training and Technical Support Unit
The Unit provides training, technical support, and professional development for faculty members, their assistants, and administrative staff in line with professional development requirements for achieving accreditation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish a university-wide training and professional development system.
- Implement training plans in the field of quality assurance.
- Provide technical support to colleges seeking accreditation.
Academic Program Accreditation Unit
The Unit develops and updates academic programs in accordance with national, regional, and international quality and accreditation standards, in coordination with colleges and centers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Enhance curriculum development methods to meet international standards.
- Develop academic standards for university programs.
- Coordinate the formation of specialized teams for the self-evaluation process.
Documentation and Information Unit
The Unit enhances documentation and develops databases for information systems, networks, and data resources to support the improvement of educational services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the electronic system and educational and research content.
- Implement electronic archiving standards across the University.
- Develop the database for events and accreditation activities.
Measurement and Evaluation Unit
The Unit establishes and develops measurement standards, oversees the evaluation of curricula, faculty, and examinations, and conducts specialized research.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure fairness and transparency in measurement and assessment.
- Design and develop evaluation tools for programs and course content.
- Conduct field studies in measurement and evaluation.
