The department offers a Bachelor's program in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology—the first specialized academic program in audiology and speech-language sciences. It is dedicated to preparing qualified cadres in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of hearing, communication, language, and speech disorders. The program is built on an integrated academic curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical clinical training, ensuring that students acquire the skills necessary to provide high-quality diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services. It also aims to prepare graduates who possess professional and ethical competence, as well as the ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and educational and research institutions. Furthermore, it seeks to contribute to community service by supporting early detection, awareness, and rehabilitation programs, thereby meeting the needs of the local and regional labor market and realizing Sana'a University's vision of academic excellence, community service, and sustainable development.
To achieve leadership and excellence in education, research, and innovation in Audiology and Speech-Language Sciences at the national and regional levels, while actively contributing to the development of healthcare services and improving the quality of life of individuals with hearing and communication disorders in the Yemeni community.
To prepare highly competent academic professionals in Audiology and Speech-Language pathology through a stimulating educational environment that supports scientific research and is committed to providing distinguished diagnostic and rehabilitative services to the community, in accordance with comprehensive quality standards and professional ethics.
1- To prepare qualified professionals possessing the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for the diagnosis, rehabilitation, and treatment of hearing, speech, and communication disorders.
2- To provide a distinguished educational and research environment that integrates theoretical learning with clinical training and supports the localization and development of diagnostic tools appropriate for the Yemeni context.
3- To contribute to community service through awareness programs, consultations, and specialized activities, while building effective partnerships with health, educational, and rehabilitation institutions.
4- To apply quality and academic accreditation standards across all activities and programs, employing modern technologies and continuous improvement as a step toward international accreditation.
