Evaluation Committee of Scientific & Research Centers Visits the Community Center for Translation & Language Teaching and Commends Its Pioneering Role and Excellence

Sana’a – Sunday, June 22, 2025 (26 Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH)

As part of Sana’a University’s ongoing efforts to enhance the academic, administrative, and financial performance of its scientific and research centers, a field visit was conducted today by the evaluation committee appointed by the University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, to the Community Center for Translation & Language Teaching (CCTLT). The visit falls within the university’s broader efforts to assess institutional performance and strengthen the capabilities of its affiliated centers.

The committee was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Ibraheem Tagadeen, Director of the Center, Dr. Yahya Obaid, Deputy Director, along with respective heads of academic departments and units, faculty members, and administrative staff.
During the visit, the committee reviewed the center’s operational processes, academic, training, and professional programs, in addition to its educational activities and community services. The committee expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the center’s leadership and team and highly praised the center’s outstanding performance and pivotal role in serving the community, particularly in the fields of translation and foreign language Teaching.
The committee also noted the significant progress made in the center’s academic and teaching activities and the continuous expansion of its programs designed to prepare qualified national professionals in light of labor market demands. It affirmed that the center serves as a leading and exemplary model at the local level in terms of quality performance and program diversity. The committee also emphasized that the academic and training services offered have placed the center among the distinguished institutions both locally and regionally.
The center stands as one of the most prominent academic institutions at Sana’a University, offering specialized educational and training programs in translation and language teaching. It is particularly noted for its teaching of several modern foreign languages, equipping its graduates to effectively respond to the evolving demands of both local and international labor markets.
As part of its integrated services, the Translation Services Unit offers high-quality written and oral translation in over twenty world languages. This reinforces the center’s role as a bridge for cultural and academic exchange and its pioneering role in advancing the fields of translation and Arabization in Yemen and serves the needs of academic institutions and both public and private sector organizations.
The committee encouraged the center’s administration to continue its dedication and excellence, and to intensify its efforts to further enhance education, research, and community engagement, emphasizing the importance of effective preparation for the upcoming academic year 2025–2026 / 1447 AH.
This visit is part of a broader series of field evaluations conducted by the committee to reinforce institutional performance and support the achievement of academic quality and accreditation standards across Sana’a University’s scientific and research centers.
