Workshop on “Prompt Engineering for Language Teachers: A Practical Guide to AI-Powered Teaching” Held at CCTLT, Sana’a University

The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University organized a training workshop titled “ *_Prompt Engineering for Language Teachers: A Practical Guide to AI-Powered Teaching_* ” on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of language instructors in leveraging artificial intelligence for teaching development.
The session was inaugurated by the Center’s director, Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, who welcomed the attending faculty members and emphasized the Center’s commitment to organizing such continuous training workshops, which are designed to improve teachers’ performance and keep pace with the latest advancements in the field of education and language teaching.
The workshop, facilitated by instructors Mr. Adeeb Al-Qubati and Ms. Aisha Al-Shawish, attracted a notable turnout of 30 male and female teachers. Key topics covered included professional techniques for utilizing and directing AI in language instruction, crafting effective prompts to optimize AI-generated outcomes, and integrating AI tools into lesson planning and educational activities to enrich student learning experiences. Among the attendees were Dr. Faisal Al-Dawli, Head of the center’s Translation Unit, and Ms. Sumaya Al-Sumaini, Head of the Training and Qualification Unit.
The event concluded with honoring the participating instructors and the workshop organizers, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the success of this significant educational initiative. This workshop underscores the center’s dedication to keeping pace with technological advancements and strengthening the capabilities of teachers in the field of AI-Powered Teaching.
