Sana’a – January 22, 2026‎

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, conducted an ‎inspection visit today to oversee the ongoing roof maintenance and rehabilitation project ‎at the Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT). The project ‎involves the total replacement of damaged roofing and comprehensive structural ‎maintenance.‎

During the visit, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti reaffirmed the university leadership’s commitment to ‎the rigorous monitoring and implementation of maintenance cycles across all faculties, ‎centers, and facilities. He emphasized that such efforts contribute to improving the educational ‎and training environment, safeguarding infrastructure, and ensuring the long-term ‎sustainability of the university’s academic and community services.‎

Prof. Al-Bukhaiti stressed the importance of executing maintenance projects in ‎accordance with the highest standards of quality and technical precision, with adherence ‎to timely completion and the use of durable, high-quality materials. He highlighted that ‎these measures guarantee the safety of buildings and the continued performance of ‎university facilities in their academic and service roles.‎

Accompanied by Assistant Secretary-General Mr. Mustafa Shari, the Rector listened to a ‎technical briefing from Engineer Abdulhakim Shamsan, Director General of Projects. ‎Eng. Shamsan detailed the progress of the first phase, which is being funded by the ‎university at a cost of 5,400,000 Yemeni Rials. This phase covers approximately 600 ‎square meters and is set to benefit hundreds of students and community members served ‎by the CCTLT.‎

This project is a key component of Sana’a University’s broader strategy to modernize ‎infrastructure, with a focus on implementing maintenance works across faculties, centers, ‎and facilities using sustainable, high-quality materials. These efforts aim to strengthen ‎academic and service performance and support both the educational process at the university and the community beyond.‎
