Successful Seminar on Studying in Germany Held at CCTLT, Sana’a University Sana’a, Yemen – January 11, 2025

Sana’a University’s Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) hosted a successful seminar on Saturday, January 11, 2025, titled Features and Conditions of Studying in Germany: Student Life and Study Application Procedures. The event, held in collaboration with the University Student Forum (USF) and under the patronage of the University Rector, Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abbas, attracted a large number of students and interested individuals.

Engineer Osama Abdulkarim Shubail led the workshop, covering key aspects of studying and living in Germany, including:

  • German student visa application requirements.

  • Overview of student life in Germany.

  • University application procedures and admission criteria.

  • Preparatory year options.

  • Scholarship opportunities for Yemeni students.

  • German regulations for international students.

  • Information about vocational training (Ausbildung).

The workshop also provided valuable resources and information on accessing further guidance. A lively Q&A session followed the presentation, demonstrating the high level of student engagement and the event’s overall effectiveness.

Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the CCTLT, concluded the workshop by thanking the speaker and highlighting the importance of learning German and the career opportunities it offers. He emphasized the CCTLT’s role in providing high-quality German language courses to prepare students for study and work in Germany.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Yahya Ubaid, Deputy Director of the CCTLT, Dr. Ali Al-Gail, Head of the German Language Department at the Faculty of Languages, Instructors of the German Language Unit at CCTLT, and a large number of students, reflecting the strong interest in this topic.

This workshop represents a significant step in supporting Yemeni students aspiring to study abroad and was well-received by attendees who expressed satisfaction with the content and its practical value. The success of this event underscores the importance of continuing to offer such programs to broaden students’ horizons and empower them to achieve their academic and professional goals.
