Importance of Persian Language and Teaching

The Persian language, characterized by its elegant structures, rich vocabulary, and ease of acquisition and teaching, belongs to the Indo-European language family. It utilizes the Arabic script for writing and is considered a regional language akin to the Turkish language due to its geographical proximity. Spoken by a diverse population exceeding a hundred million individuals, Persian is prevalent in countries like Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as in parts of Pakistan, India, and Turkey. It is taught in many regional universities including but not limited to Baghdad University, Kufa University, Damascus University, Yarmouk University, Alexandria University, Menoufia University, Lebanese University, and Sana’a University.
