Sana’a University CCTLT Hosts Field Visit for Translation Students from Al-Yemenia University

The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University hosted a field visit today for twenty-eight third-year students from the Translation Department at Al-Yemenia University, accompanied by Dr. Anhar Al-Ahmar. The visit formed part of an academic activity aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and promoting the exchange of expertise in the fields of ranslation and language teaching.
The delegation was received by the Center’s Director, Dr. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, the Head of the Translation Department, Dr. Abdulwadood Annuzaili, the Head of the Translation Unit, Dr. Faisal Aldawli, and the Public Relations Officer, Ms. Saba Al-Arshani. They welcomed the students and provided a comprehensive overview of the Center’s functions, services, and training programs.

As part of the program, the Center organized a workshop on general translation, introducing techniques, contemporary strategies, and the use of electronic tools and artificial intelligence in translation practice.
Students were also briefed on the Center’s broader activities in language teaching and translation departments, their specialized training programs, and the services offered to qualify learners and develop linguistic and translation skills.

The visit included a guided tour in the Translation Unit, where students observed the workflow of the document translation process and gained insight into the nature of tasks undertaken by professional translators. They were introduced to the challenges commonly encountered in the field and the standards and procedures applied to ensure accuracy and quality of translation.

The Center’s administration reaffirmed Sana’a University’s commitment to expanding cooperation with both public and private universities, with the aim of advancing translation programs and improving the quality of educational outcomes and specialized translation services in Yemen.
This visit reflects the Center’s ongoing efforts to provide training, capacity-building, and advisory services to translation students and graduates across universities while offering practical learning opportunities aligned with modern developments and labor market needs.
