The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University hosted a group of translation students from Al-Andalus University, comprising twenty-one students accompanied by the head of the department, Dr. Nashwan Nashwan, on a field visit designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience in translation and language teaching.

The students were received by Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs; Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Center Director; and Dr. Faisal Al-Dwali, Head of the Translation Unit at the center.
During the visit, Prof. Tagaddeen and Dr. Al-Dwali delivered an introductory presentation on the fundamentals of translation, drawing on practical examples from a range of specialized fields. The students also toured the Translation Unit, where they were introduced to the Center’s day-to-day workflow and the various types of documents it handles, providing them with firsthand insight into a professional translation environment.

Mr. Adel Al-Hababi highlighted the Center’s important role in serving the community and fostering cooperation between academic institutions.
In turn, the Center Director stressed the value of such field visits in giving students a clearer understanding of the practical side of their specialization. He reaffirmed the Center’s readiness to share its expertise and training capabilities with researchers and trainees.

The visit reflects the Center’s continued efforts to reinforce its role as a leading academic and training institution, while creating stronger connections between academic learning and the practical demands of the labor market in the fields of translation and language learning.
