The Economic and Financial Studies and Research Center (EFSRC) at Sana’a University today officially launched the Statistical Studies and Consulting Unit, headed by renowned statistical expert Prof. Fuad Abdo Ismail Al-Mekhlafi, alongside a select group of faculty members from the Center and the Department of Statistics and Informatics at the Faculty of Commerce and Economics.
The new unit aims to elevate research quality and equip scholars and institutions with data-driven skills for sound scientific and administrative decision-making. Its suite of services includes research advisory, advanced statistical data analysis, and peer-reviewing of university theses methodology, as well as executing field surveys and public opinion polling for public sector entities, private corporations, and non-profit organizations.
Concurrently, the Unit announced the opening of enrollment for specialized training programs in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. These programs offer practical training in cutting-edge analytics software and business intelligence platforms, including SPSS, STATA, Power BI, R, and Python.
The launch marks a strategic addition for institutions and financial enterprises, helping narrow the gap between academic output at Sana’a University and broader economic development requirements.
