Bachelor of Nursing

The Bachelor of Nursing Program is one of the founding academic programs of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, with its first batch graduating in 1993. The program is designed to prepare academically and professionally qualified nursing graduates who are capable of providing comprehensive healthcare to individuals and contributing to the prevention and treatment of diseases, thereby improving the quality of life of individuals and the community. The program also emphasizes the development of students' competencies in education, training, and scientific research, enabling them to apply the latest professional approaches and evidence-based practices in the delivery of nursing care. Furthermore, the program adopts a holistic nursing care approach that addresses the physical, health, psychological, and social dimensions of patient care, thereby enhancing professional competence and improving the quality of healthcare services provided.

Department Mission

The division of nursing is committed to preparing qualified nursing staff academically and ethically to provide high-quality nursing care and be able to compete nationally, regionally, and internationally through updating the curriculum and providing a model learning and research environment that encourages life-long learning, innovation, professional and personal development, and effective community participation to contribute to health problem solving.

Program Mission

The Bachelor of Nursing Program seeks to prepare qualified nursing professionals capable of working in diverse healthcare settings and contributing to the advancement of nursing knowledge through research services and community engagement to enhance the quality of healthcare services.

Program Objectives

1. Demonstrating commitment to excellence in theoretical education and clinical training through the optimal utilization of available institutional and clinical facilities.
2. Preparing qualified and well-trained nursing graduates who are capable of making informed decisions, solving problems, and keeping pace with recent developments in nursing practice to promote public health, prevent diseases, and improve treatment methods at all levels of healthcare.
3. Enhancing students' communication and academic research skills and integrating professional ethics into the academic program.
4. Developing students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure the preparation of professional nursing graduates who understand the relationship between scientific theory, research, and clinical practice.
5. Encouraging students to become self-directed lifelong learners and developing the skills that enable them to keep pace with rapid advancements in the nursing profession.
6. Demonstrating leadership and management competencies in clinical and community healthcare settings.
7. Strengthening collaboration with local, regional, and international institutions to ensure the continuous development of nursing care.
