Faculty of Languages Extends a Warm Welcome to Its Newest Students

On Saturday morning, Safar 15, 1447Hijri, corresponding to August 8, 2025, Faculty of Languages at Sana’a University held a reception ceremony for the new students. The event, held in Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Maqalih Hall, was sponsored by University RectorProf. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti and organized in collaboration with the University Student Forum.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Nasser, Dean of the Faculty, along with his deputies, heads of academic departments, the faculty registrar, and a number of teaching staff. New students and their colleagues from various levels were also present.
The event commenced with a speech from Dean Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Nasser, who welcomed the new students. He emphasized the Faculty’s mission to provide high-quality education that meets the demands of the modern era and urged them to be diligent in their academic journey. He also praised the active role of the heads of both the male and female student forums in providing services to students and enhancing university activities. He commended their efforts in creating a welcoming atmosphere for the new academic year and stressed the importance of following the Faculty’s website and official social media pages for the latest updates on academic activities and student services.
Following this, Dr. Mujahid Al-Sabri, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, explained that the study plans for each academic program and the syllabus for each course are available on the Faculty’s website. He highlighted that students can simply click on a course name to view its details and see what will be covered each week throughout the semester.
Next, Prof. Abbas Mutahar, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, also welcomed the new students. He affirmed the Faculty’s commitment to providing a stimulating learning environment and encouraged them to take full advantage of the Faculty’s resources and services to develop their academic and research skills.
The heads of the academic departments then gave presentations introducing their departments, covering the fields of specialization and the academic and professional opportunities available to students. The Faculty registrar spoke about procedural aspects of registration and academic services, explaining that all academic regulations are published on the Faculty’s website. He noted that students can refer to these regulations to learn about their rights, duties, graduation requirements, and other details that govern the educational process.
In conclusion, attendees expressed their happiness at the start of a new academic year filled with aspirations and ambitions, affirming that the gathering marked the beginning of a successful academic journey.
