Faculty of Languages Commences Debate Competition Semi-Finals

The semi-final rounds of the Debate Competition, organized by the Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages, commenced today, Monday, November 10, 2025.

The competition aims to foster dialogue and persuasion skills and to promote a culture of constructive discussion among students.

Prof. Abdulhameed Al-Shuja’ supervised the training of the contestants and evaluated their performance, selecting the qualifiers for the final stage of the competition.

He praised the participants’ standard and the outstanding intellectual and linguistic abilities they demonstrated.

This competition is part of a series of activities designed to develop students’ critical thinking and rhetoric skills, and to prepare an aware generation capable of expressing their opinions objectively and with respect for differing viewpoints.
