Faculty of Languages Commences Semi-Finals for “Story Continuation Chain” Competition
The semi-final rounds of the “Story Continuation Chain” Competition, organized by the Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages, launched today, Monday, November 10, 2025.
The competition aims to develop students’ creative thinking skills and hone their abilities in spontaneous, collaborative storytelling—a process characterized by dynamism and direct interaction.
Prof. Al-Shaima Al-Masoudi is supervising the training of the contestants, evaluating their performance, and working to select the qualifiers for the final stage of the competition.
She praised the outstanding level demonstrated by the participants, specifically noting their immersion in the story’s flow, their skill in constructing events, and their use of language in an artistic, engaging, and captivating manner.
This competition is part of a series of student activities organized by the Department of Translation, which are designed to:
- Develop students’ oral narrative skills.
- Enhance their quick wit and creative spontaneity.
- Build self-confidence in presenting ideas and adding impromptu details in an organized and entertaining style.
