Faculty of Languages Council Holds Fifth Meeting for Academic Year 1447 Hijri
The Council of the Faculty of Languages held its fifth meeting for the academic year 1447 Hijri on Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025, to discuss a range of academic and administrative topics.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Nasser, the Faculty Dean, and was attended by the Vice-Deans, Heads of Scientific Departments, and Council members.
During the session, several academic and administrative issues were discussed, most notably:
- Approval of the minutes from the previous session.
- Endorsement of the First Semester results.
- Approval of several Master’s and Doctoral thesis proposals and plans across the Arabic, English, and Translation Departments.
- Adoption of the unified curricula for the English Language Studies and Translation programs, in accordance with approved ministerial resolutions.
Furthermore, the Council approved the granting of a number of academic and research sabbaticals for faculty members and authorized the activation of a joint supervision system for postgraduate students in various departments. The Council also reviewed several student requests related to academic affairs.
The meeting concluded at 11:00 AM, after all necessary decisions were taken and prepared for submission to the relevant councils to complete the required official procedures.
