Master’s Thesis Proposal Seminar for Mr. Dawood Hameed Abdu Hamoud

Department of English at the Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, successfully convened a research seminar to discuss the Master’s thesis proposal submitted by Mr. Dawood Hameed Abdu Hamoud.
His research, titled “Challenges in Translating English Culture-Specific References in Business Texts into Arabic,” investigates a critical gap in linguistic mediation within global commerce.
The viva-voce committee consists of:

During the session, the candidate presented a comprehensive overview of his scientific plan. He outlined the study’s primary objectives, emphasizing its significance in the field of translation studies. The presentation covered the theoretical framework, methodology, hypotheses as well as analytical tools to be employed.
Following an in-depth discussion and rigorous scholarly exchange, the committee formally approved the research plan. The members praised the candidate’s efforts and highlighted the importance of the topic in bridging the literary and linguistic divide within the humanities and international business communications.
The seminar was well-attended by graduate students, faculty members, and researchers specialized in linguistics and translation.
